Summer online activities for English update

Happy summer to everyone!

Summer is here and school holidays are long! If we don't give some engaging activities to our students, they probably forget all what they've learned all through the course. Then, we've prepared some fun and educational resources in order to practice and update their English in a fun way. Let's play !

And meet you again in September! Happy holidays!

Building blocks to learn English

In the last Macmillan Teachers Training Session we had the opportunity to put into practice a very easy and productive activity in which you only need children and building blocks.

- Place the children in groups of 3.
- Have plenty of building blocks for each group.
- The teacher starts giving instructions in English and children follow the instructions using the
   building blocks.

Eg. Teacher says: "Classify the blocks in colours, shapes and size"

You can do it more complex. Eg, teacher says: "make an animal with the building blocks"

Now, more examples: "I want to see a table and a chair" (teacher asks for as many furniture as you want)

An other example, teacher says: "make a building of your city".  When children have their buildings ready, you can use some of these buildings to make a city and work about directions and prepositions of place.

A new example, to work about comparative and superlative adjectives. Eg, teacher says: "make the tallest tower"

Vowels phonics video ready to use

Today for a change here you have a link on a vowel phonics video that has been tried out in a public Bages school and kids really enjoy it. The teacher found it very engaging.

Give it a try!

This video could be suitable for ages 6 to 8:

And now another video for older ones:
